My name is Shawna and I will be your photographer! I have been into photography since I got my first 110 camera at 7 or 8 years of age. I’m now a 38 yr old mother of 4, and I’ve refined my skills just a bit;)
I specialize in High School Senior Photography and Custom Newborn Photography, but I’m up for just about anything, so try me!
My style is fun and Bright! I love color and lots of it. I also love to have fun at my sessions. My poses aren’t always typical. Sometimes we don’t pose at all, we just play. I want to capture who you are, whether that is quiet and shy or crazy and bubbly! Sometimes I might ask you to do crazy things… just trust me! You’ll love the result, even if I do ask you to sit in that creek;) I’ll wait till the rest of the session is over at least, so you aren’t wet and sloppy for the rest of your photos. (Don’t worry, I don’t do this to everyone, but if you come with an open mind, we’ll have a great time and get some really great images.)
I do also do black and white at client request, and when the photo warrants it. I often do maternity and newborn in both color and black and white for a beautiful, timeless look.
I believe God has given me my artistic abilities, and that He meant for them to be used for much more than just a career. Because of that, it is very important to me to Give back.
I have been a part of many organizations that donate photos, to include Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep- an infant bereavement photography organization, Op Love- Giving back to our military members, Littlest Heros (aka Inspiration through art)- photographing chronically ill children, and many more. I also do many donations on my own as I see fit, to include donating a senior session every year to a senior going through hard times. Many of these organizations have disappeared or restructured and I am not actively involved in some anymore, however, if you have a need, please talk to me, as I do still donate the sessions, just not through the organizations. Giving back is still, and always will be very important to me 🙂
